Instant Pot Pineapple Ham
Instant Pot Pineapple Ham is the perfect holiday ham recipe. This is made in the instant pot and is an easy Easter ham recipe done in just minutes. No more heating up the house with the oven. Serve it up with sides like baked beans or potato salad.

Easter will be here in just a few days. Ham is always on my agenda for Easter. Usually the ham is placed in the oven and then roasted with either pineapple and it’s juice or some fruit cocktail. Ham should be simple in my opinion.

However, the thought to put the ham in the instant pot never even crossed my mind. To be honest, I am so glad I tried it. Without a doubt it’s the best ham hands down that I have ever had. From now on in my house ham will just be popped into my 6 quart instant pot duo plus.

Instant Pot Ham Sizes:
If your trying to do ham in your instant pot then you need to be aware of the size of your ham. My ham was 7 pounds and fit really snug in my 6 quart pot. If you have an 8 quart I assume a 8 pound ham will fit nicely. For the 6 quart pot it is 6 inches deep and about 7 inches across from measuring it I knew the ham would barely fit. Due to it being pre-sliced I was able to move some of the sliced to get it into the pot. You’ll just want to be aware of the size of the ham and the size of your pot.
Instant Pot Ham Timing For Precooked Hams:
For a 7 pound ham I did 10 minutes but I would adjust that down for smaller ham and up for bigger hams. I would only go up 2 minutes each pound. These times are for precooked hams. If you have an uncooked ham it will need more time by far.

Instant pot pineapple ham is probably the best ham. The pineapple juice really adds flavor to the ham. We used a spoon and tongs to remove the ham. However, you can use kitchen gloves to remove it if need be. We found we did not need to broil the ham but if you like it crisp on the outside you may broil it for 5 minutes or so.

This recipe sounds great, only one question: Did or do you put the ham on the trivet to raise it from the bottom of the pot?
I didn’t use the trivet as the ham is too large to use it. I made sure there was plenty of pineapple juice so it didn’t stick.
