Dirt Dessert
With back to school around the corner and my daughter already in color guard camp we are always looking for an easy dessert snack. Dirt Dessert is something my aunt used to make when I was little. It’s simple but super delicious.
My son and I slipped off to Walmart today to pick up some groceries. We grabbed some Jello chocolate instant pudding and some Cool Whip along with a few other goodies. Shopping with him is so funny. He just insists on moving as a fast as possible through the store.
On the pudding aisle he finally found real goodies so he settled down and gave me a few extra minutes to look. He also mentioned milk is more expensive than gas. I think it’s pretty cool to see him grow and realize the prices of food and gas. Tells me he is knowledgeable.
Afterwards, I visited with my daughter to pick up some glassware to photograph this in on her dinner break. I enjoy when she helps me pick out a new piece for my dishes. She is excited to come home and eat this tonight. I cannot wait to see her face when she sees it. These are some of her favorite quick and easy snack items.
Simply layer this into any of your favorite glassware or small dessert cups and serve up cold. It’s easy and anyone will laugh at the name.
It’s was our on going joke that the cookies taste like dirt so out of this Dirt Dessert was born. Usually when we say this everyone flips out but when they see and try it they devour it! You can always dress it up to for the holidays. For more desserts & snacks follow along with #AddCoolWhip.
