Alright, ladies and gentlemen; as we all know Fan Expo Dallas 2018 is coming up on the first weekend of April here in Dallas, TX. I’m looking forward to being there on the 7th; hopefully! Now, you must ask yourself in preparation for the Fan Expo what you watch before attending. Here’s is 11 movies and series to watch before you go to the Fan Expo Dallas!

Stranger Things

One of the hottest Netflix Originals released season 2 back in October. Their return of the series comes along way; bringing new characters, threats, and heart crushing bonds. Every actor gave an outstanding performance! If you haven’t seen Stranger Things, I highly recommend you to check it out as soon as possible. Fan Expo Dallas is to guest the following Stranger Things actresses and actors on Saturday and Sunday (April 7th, and the 8th). Sadie Sink (Max), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), and Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin) from Stranger Things!

Of course, Batman is the number one Superhero everybody knows; other than Superman and Iron Man. I know what you are thinking, that I am going to say, “Watch the Dark Knight.” But you’ll always see batman’s and jokers at Fan Expo. It’s just one of the most famous comic book based movies. Let’s not forget about the Tim Burton Series though. Fan Expo Dallas is also to guest the talented Val Kilmer! He is known for Batman Forever, The Doors, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Real Genius, and Top Gun (cult classic). Check out any of the Batman animated or live-action films for grand taste of genius. Don’t forget to read the comics too!

Back To The Future

Let’s bring it back to 2018 present day. The world’s favorite adult show Rick and Morty is killing it but what inspired our beloved adult cartoon? Of course, It’s Back to the Future starring Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Crispin Glover, Tom Wilson, and Lea Thompson. Back to the Future was released in 1985 which eventually received a huge cult classic following. Becoming one the most successful film series from the 80’s! Now, at Fan Expo Dallas you’ll be able to meet the talented cast of Back To The Future (Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Tom Wilson, and Lea Thompson). Of course, I’d like to encourage my followers to dress up as Doc and Marty or even Biff for the Dallas Fan Expo. I am excited to see all the variations of costumes!

Rick and Morty

As I was saying about Rick and Morty though. A crazy evil scientist and his moronic grandson go on amazing adventures on other planets and dimensions. As Rick and Morty keeps on “Rickety Wrecking” the adult cartoon scene they keep on come bringing hilariously funny genius episodes. As most of us who are above the age of 18 loves this crazy cartoon. It’s graphic, realistic, dark, hilarious, and phenomenal! Parental Advisory is suggested by the way.

On the topic of animated series. You can catch up with the voices of Goku and Vegeta (Sean Schemmel and Chris Sabat) at the Fan Expo Dallas. With Dragonball Super receiving a well audience viewing nothing will beat the classic era of Dragonball Z! It’s just one of those classic animes you’ve got to watch! Hope to see some fellow geeks and nerds dressed as Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Truck, and Cell.

Star Wars

Of course, you can’t go to Fan Expo without watching Star Wars! Tons of cosplay fans dress up as Luke, Darth Vader, Obi-Wan, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, Han Solo, and Storm Troopers; also Mandalorians! As every year the 501st Legion, Rebel Legion, and Mandalorian Mercs attended in costume at the Fan Expo Dallas. Star Wars is the biggest sci-fi series possibly ever! The latest release was Star Wars: The Last Jedi (which you can see my review here). Star Wars’ next anthology film will be the Han Solo movie coming out in May 2018.

The cult following series Supernatural has been around since 2005. Starring Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester and Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester. Do you remember sitting down on Thursday nights just to catch the new episode right after Smallville? Well, I do! This show was and is still phenomenal. I hope to see more Supernatural fans at the Fan Expo Dallas. Also, excited to know that Felicia Day (Charlie) will be there on Saturday and Sunday! We are thinking about a photo opt with her.

As we all do, I just love the sailor mouthed merc; Deadpool. He’s hilarious, brilliant, savvy, and just plain awesome! If you are looking for a great marvel film that’s set in the X-Men universe this one is for you. Trust me! Everybody who has seen the film loves its. Of course, Ryan Reynolds portrays Deadpool. He is known for Life, R.I.P.D., Green Lantern, Van Wilder, Amityville Horror, and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. It’s just a classic to watch before any comic convention! Parental advisory is a must.

The Avengers

So, I know what you are thinking. Of course, The Avengers are going to be on this list. Everybody just loves Marvel’s cinematic universe. Infinity War will release in May, which is only a month after Fan Expo Dallas! Everybody expects comic characters like Hulk, Iron Man, Spiderman, Captain America, Black Widow, and many more. Now you need to watch at least one Marvel movie! Which will it be?

Justice League

Superhero leaders Aquaman, Batman, Cyborg, Flash, Superman, and Wonder Woman are basic old school heroes fans dress up as all the time! Cosplay is probably the biggest element of comic con. There’s tons of great versions of these heroes that you cosplay as. Now, this the 2017’s Justice League was a hit or miss for a lot of people. I loved it! It was charming, awesome, and extreme! I’d love to see some Flash in cosplay. It would be a real treat if someone could get in character and play Flash as witty as Ezra Miller.

The X-Men cinematic universe is just so strange and so wonderful at the same time. The complexity of the story-line could be hard to follow. Many fans are ripped between the older timeline and the newer timeline. I like both but I’ll honestly say I’ve enjoyed the newer line more. It’s filled with hilarious scenes, dramatic scenes, and a retro take on the original characters. I do enjoy seeing cosplayers as Beast, Nightcrawler, Cyclops, Quicksilver, Jean Grey/Phoenix, and Wolverine. Who is your favorite X-Men character?
